J&D Hobby is closed for the holiday season. We thank all of our customers, both
past, and new this year, for your patronage in the present economic environment.

Hi, welcome to J&D Hobby here in the great Smoky Mountains. We are avid Dept 56
collectors who enjoy building large Dept 56 displays and also American Civil War
and WWII dioramas. We try to add as much realism as possible to our displays,
and this has led us to creating a large number of our own handmade accessories.
After much prodding from friends, neighbors and other collectors, we started
selling some of our display items on Ebay. Much to our surprise, the response was
overwhelmingly positive and this is our third year now producing these
accessories.
We design our own products and most are made from HydroStone ( a very hard
plaster) which we pour into molds we have made. These are then sanded, painted,
stained and sealed. Many of our products can used in a variety of ways, such as
model railroading, wartime dioramas, war gaming and dollhouse displays
We also paint plastic Civil War soldiers with great detail for those interested
in ACW dioramas and we are adding a number of wartime accessories this year.
